Adviseur musea en museografie

Aanspreekpunt voor vragen over:

• scenografie/museografie van vaste of tijdelijke collectiepresentaties
• duurzaam/circulair tentoonstellen
• het aanbesteden en inrichten van een tentoonstellingsinfrastructuur/musea
• het opstellen van een projectdefinitie/projectomschrijving
• codesign & coproducties

Sinds de pandemie is Monique 'COVID-19-contactpunt'. Ze informeert de cultureel-erfgoedsector over de COVID-19-regelgeving voor tentoonstellingen en bezoekers. Ze coördineert en actualiseert de Sectorgids Musea die voor musea een verplicht instrument is geworden om een veilig museumbezoek te garanderen.

Biography

Monique Verelst has a degree of Master of Art Studies & Archaeology (VUB) and a Master in Interior Architecture & Design (St. Lukas Brussels, now LUCA School of Arts). After working as a project assistant at Architectures Jean Nouvel (Paris), she started teaching in LUCA School of Arts from 1998. As from that year she also started the design studio Deprez&Verelst and realized various projects in different sectors including the cultural and heritage sector for over twenty years. Since 2017 she works for FARO, the Flemish interface center for cultural heritage as an advisor museums and museography.
